AVIATION, SPACE AND DEFENCE DESIGN

For companies and the public sector we provide custom designed corporate gifts and interior design patterns, products. and spice up -projects. Our customers include for example the Finnish Defence Forces, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and Team Finland. During the last ten years, in addition to other themes, we have been working on dozens of different aviation, space and defence themed patterns, collections and design projects. We design wallpapers, wallpieces, sheers, curtains, cushions, bean bags, trays and coasters, just to mention a few.

Finnish satellite data was used as inspiration for the Independence Day reception evening dress. Pekka Laurila, the Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder of Finnish space tech company ICEYE, attended the reception at the Presidential Palace with his spouse Hannah Ploskonka, who also has worked at ICEYE from 2014 to the end of 2021, and is still working for the Finnish space industry. ⁠
SAR satellite images by ICEYE from the melting Thwaites Glacier were used as the base for the evening dress "Antarctica" pattern. The pattern was created by Jutta Kuure, Taiga Colors. The dress design and sewing was done by atelier dressmaker Anna Perez and the jewerly set by Lumoava was designed by Eelis Aleksi.

The evening dress project was implemented by Taiga Colors. The association for Finnish Work has accredited Taiga Colors with the Design from Finland mark in addition to the Key Flag designating Finnish work. Also this evening dress has been made in Finland.⁠

F-35 DESIGN

In June 2022 Taiga Colors launched a F-35 design collection, the permit for which was granted by Lockheed Martin Legal Department. The first batch of the collection includes high-end cushions in different sizes and Finnish plywood trays and coasters, which are available in our online store. Other products, like bean bags, sheers, curtains, wallpapers, wall pieces, bag accessories etc. are available by custom order.
