STORY

The founder of Taiga Colors is photographer and designer Jutta Kuure. Jutta has always loved colors. As a small girl her best friends were felt pens and a caleidoscope.

Jutta has been an entrepreneur since 2004, when  she founded Kuuretki, a photography company focusing on corporate photography. The clientele included mostly Finnish publishing companies and companies from the food industry, for example Valio and Tammi Publishing House.

Jutta also always has liked nature, adventure and those two combined. Year 2007 Jutta made her second trip to Borneo rainforests. From her Borneo pictures she created an exhibition for Neptunus Gallery.  In 2009, in the next exhibition in Hotel GLO, in addition to the wall pieces there were also first interior design cushions on display. She continued with the corporate photography and also studied graphic design for 1,5 years. 2011 Jutta started designing a bag collection and looking for more Finnish sub-contractor companies. The first bag collection items were sold on December 2011. Borneo Colors was born.

In September and October 2014 Jutta designed patterns on Finnish nature and urban Helsinki, named them Taiga Colors, and ran a successful crowd-funding campaign for the collection. In December 2014 Taiga Colors Helsinki was opened, but closed it doors in August 2022. We continue with our custom design projects and our international online store.
